Curriculum

Religion:

God’s Truths Help Us Live (Our Holy Faith Series) and resource books. God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost.

Phonics:

Modern Curriculum Press Word Study D Workbook (copyright 1998); continued instructions in phonetics. It is recommended that students who are having difficulty with reading and phonics order the Professor Phonics supplemental packet. See shipping list for complete list of books included.

Reading:

Developing skills and reading comprehension: Catholic Faith and Freedom Readers.

​

Mathematics:

MCP Math Level C is designed to encourage critical-thinking skills, active participation, and mastery of skills within the context of problem-solving situations. Includes multiplication, division, and bar graphs. Short introduction to geometry, fractions and decimals.

​

English:

Catholic Voyages in English series. Introduction to library skills, writing skills, and a thorough instruction in grammar.

Spelling:

Selected words based on third-grade texts (our own Catholic materials).

​

Science:

Plants, animals, electricity, sound, space, and machines (Scott Foresman).

​

Social Studies:

Working Together, a Catholic text, and supporting books.

​

Penmanship:

Instruction in legible handwriting
